Nils combines the instincts of a session musician with the overview of an arranger. He can add a single violin, lap-steel or dobro part, build a complete roots-oriented arrangement, or record a small ensemble in our own studio.
We also compose and record original music for film and other visual or narrative projects — from an intimate recurring theme to a fully developed organic score.
Every contribution is shaped around the song, the singer and the story. Sara’s backing vocals and vocal arrangements are available when the music calls for them, and we can bring in trusted additional musicians for a larger palette.

Booking several songs together lowers the average price per song, because setup and technical preparation can be shared across the project.
Planning a full album?
Complete albums receive a bespoke production package, based on the number of songs, creative scope and musicians involved.
Final pricing depends on the brief, complexity, number of musicians and required deliverables. External musicians, extensive revisions, mixing, mastering and commercial or sync usage are quoted separately where applicable.

This is not a commercial room-rental studio. Nils and Sara do the work here themselves, with Nils handling all technical direction in Cubase Pro 14. When a project calls for other players, we bring in and direct trusted musicians while remaining responsible for the complete recording.

Sara has more than fifteen years of experience in commercial voice-over and long-form narration. Sessions can be self-directed or followed remotely, with clean professional audio delivered in the format your production requires.

Nils De Caster
A Belgian singer, songwriter, arranger and multi-instrumentalist with a rare feel for the space between folk, Americana, blues and roots music.
Nils has spent decades serving songs on stage and in the studio. His strength is not only the number of instruments he plays, but the musical judgement behind every part: when to lead, when to answer and when to leave space.
Sara De Smedt’s backing vocals and vocal arrangements are available as an option. For larger sessions, we can assemble a trusted group of additional musicians.
